Breast Cancer Awareness

So this is the rough map I have been working on, based on the Komen Foundation's research on breast cancer in the surrounding Macon, GA area. It is still a work in progress but once I get all of the data on and tweak some of the layers, this will be a very useful map.

Hurricane Map Drama

Katrina Flood Plains Map Map 1
So in class we have been working with the storm surge and how it effected the areaas surrounding New Orleans. This map was a pain to create, due to the many layers that exist to represent different things but overall I think it looks really good!

Map 2 :)
During this week of class there have been a total of three maps created using the same layers just with different analysis of the added and subtracted layers.

Labby Lab Map

So, I think that this map is very pretty, if I do say so myself!
So.... in lab, we were asked to make a map of the wonderful state of GA and include four things:
1) Roads
2) Highways
3) Cities
4) Also a GA county underlay

So pretty and I cannot wait to make more maps!

Lab One

First Lab map... pretty snazzy!
So when given a map of the Watersheds of Georgia my job was to make a basic map of the given infromation and also make it pretty. Well it looks like my mission was accomplished if you have any suggestions to make my map more ballin' please don't hesitate to comment! :)

So I like maps....

This is my very first map ever.... bask in the glory. lol

Since this is my first post on this new blog I am going to upload some to the latest maps I have been making in class. After being in this class for over two weeks I have to say that I underestimated the how hard making a map is. Not really knowing how to create a map on the computer this is a whole new experience and I cannot wait to learn more!
My second map ever! Sort of getting the hang of it!
